Ugly Sweater Winter Art Activity

Please enter a quantity.

This ugly sweater design is a fun art activity to do during the winter.  It's a little trickier than it looks, so I recommend this for upper elementary and older.  There is definitely some counting and focus needed to create patterns and pictures using the knit of the sweater like a pixel grid, so be ready for a quiet classroom.  There are 2 levels included so you can pick the best one for your students or differentiate as needed.  You'll also get a page of variations.  This is a really versatile art lesson that can be done at different levels, with a variety of media and with various ways to focus the lesson.  The knit texture on the drawing page will give your finished sweaters a unique look.

Your Students Will:

  • Design an ugly sweater.
  • Add patterns to the sweater.
  • (Optional) add an image to the sweater.

What you Get:
